one year's time.

about a year ago today, alex and i began a project called 'baldersnatch,' which would soon turn into 'little time.'  i was at a crossroads emotionally after a an autumn in which i didn't sleep.

meeting up at ford chapel in the evenings got me through life for awhile.
i'll never forget it.
here are a few clips of the beginning that i found tonight.  and some of the half-assed finished product made in the past year.

we were on track to make a somewhat polished, respectable cd-r, if i do say so myself, but i butchered the opportunity when i got out of dodge for my new job opportunity.  i have one regret about leaving defiance...and that will always be 5-7 months of lost opportunities to record with mr. vandersluijs.

it was therapy.

skipping rocks first draft - january 2009 (first live run-through...it was nameless at the time of recording):

skipping rocks second draft - late february 2009 (piano and vocals recorded separately, but we were still without a midi at this point, so it was done in the chapel)

out of step in the parade - april (i can still remember how excited both of us were when this song came together...i got poor sleep for days, but was on fire for life)

alicia - april (one of our very first songs in its' most-polished form.  in alex's opinion this is the best track we ever recorded).

someone or other - november (very raw beginning's of a newer track, i hope to finish this thing in the coming months on my own)
